Charity Fundraising Round Up

The culmination of TIPi’s Wellness Week has seen our charity fundraising taken to new heights.

On Friday evening, a team from Stuffing (one of TIPi’s five houses) took on the Tough Mudder on Clapham Common. They picked up a few knocks along the way, but in the end all seven of them completed the 5k course, and so far they have raised a staggering £1,700 for Epilepsy Research.

On Sunday, an assorted team of Teeps took on the Royal Parks Half Marathon. Chris, Alex, James and Steff each showed great resilience to power through the gruelling rain for 21 kilometres, and between them they’ve raised £1,500 for the Mental Health Foundation.

The good deeds don’t stop there. PPC Account Exec George Stolton has announced that he will be dying his hair pink for Crohn’s and Colitis. He smashed his first fundraising target within a day, and at the time of writing has raised almost £700. The dye hasn’t actually gone in yet, but we predict he will end up looking something like this:

Last but not least, today we’re hosting a charity Bake Sale. Those of us who haven’t been putting ourselves through our paces out in the rain this weekend have been baking ourselves silly, creating all sorts of Monday treats to be sold to raise money for Cancer Research.

The takings haven’t been counted yet, but the quality of the baking looks top draw and, rest assured, there’s not a soggy bottom in sight.

All in all it’s been an incredible few days for fundraising, we’re full of pride at what all the Teeps have achieved, and we’re also full of cake – it’s a dream combination.
