Following on from successful crowdfunding efforts, in which the plant-based brand raised more than a million pounds worth of investment, Perkier have chosen ROAST in their first agency appointment.
ROAST will run the challenger brand’s Paid Media activity, boosting brand awareness and growing its retail presence. While initially focusing on UK markets, where Perkier sells on average one bar every ten seconds, international expansion is imminent.

Ann Perkins, Founder & Managing Director at Perkier explained: “ROAST have delivered an excellent proposal, with actionable insight and an engaging service – we are absolutely delighted to be building our partnership together. We have big ambitions for our innovative and sustainable snacking company. We have outstanding products with an engaging brand story – driving awareness, engagement and delivering topline growth is our focus. The future is Perkier!”.

John Barham, Managing Director at ROAST continued: “Perkier’s ethos and mission is one we feel passionate about, which makes them a perfect client. By utilising critical data and in-depth audience profiling, we can get under the skin of the motivations and actions of the key target market – informing a media plan that best optimises available budgets and drives business growth. We are thrilled to play a critical part in Perkier’s journey ahead.”

Perkier’s retail sales increased 34% latest year vs a category growth of +4%, as consumers continue to switch from more traditional confectionery, biscuits competitor healthy snack bars for a sustainable healthier snack from Perkier.

Perkier bars have 60% less sugar and 100% more fibre than competitors, plus they offer snacks boosted by vitamins for immunity and probiotics for a happy, healthy gut.

The fast-growing business has sold over 17 million bars so far and has built up more than 5,000 distribution points, including listings with Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Asda, as well as Amazon.

The partnership between ROAST and Perkier kicks off this month and is on-going.
