Spilling the Tea with our MVP: Sam Huxter

Kate Sweet • 14/11/2023

Our latest ROAST MVP is our Senior Paid Media Executive, Sam Huxter. Congratulations Sam! So, we decided to wise up on our knowledge of Sam and ask him some questions…

Sam 101: Summarise yourself.

Sam. 26. Enjoy football. Love Guinness. Appreciate a good prawn mayo sarnie.

What do you find is the best thing about working for ROAST?

Boring answer: Working with a range of clients across different industries. There’s no better way to learn about the ‘ins’ and ‘outs’ of digital marketing.
The not-so-boring answer: Being part of a team who work incredibly hard but know how to have a real laugh.

What’s one thing about you that no one knows?

Back in middle school, I used to play basketball at a pretty high level. I’m not saying I was out of this world, but I was pretty good for my height (and severe lack of hand-eye coordination). I ended up stopping to prioritise football – I often think about what could have been…

If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

The ability to refill any snack or drink at will. Never run out of Pringles or have an empty pint of lager again. It’s the ultimate convenience superpower for foodies and alcohol enthusiasts everywhere.

Who is your role model and why?

Ricky Gervais is actually one of my role models. I love how he fearlessly pushes the boundaries in his comedy, showing that it’s okay to speak your mind and challenge the norm.
That said, ‘The Office’ is my ultimate sitcom. So, honestly, it’s a bit tough to separate him being my idol from me just being a huge fan…

Thank you Sam for everything you do at ROAST, here are just some of the nominations Sam received for MVP:

  • Making significant strides in PPC, Sam is progressing every day and taking on more responsibility. He has a very diligent approach to his work and always completes tasks to a very high level. We consistently hear great feedback from other team members, keep it up Sam!
  • I would like to vote for Sam as he is always eager to help those around him and does everything to the best of his ability. He is always inclusive and is a great person to be around.
