Client Services Director
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and highly motivated Client Services Director to join our growing Client Services team in New York. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing high-value client relationships, driving account growth, and leading cross-disciplinary teams to deliver best-in-class marketing and media solutions.
The ideal candidate is strategic, commercially minded, and confident in challenging both internal teams and clients to deliver better outcomes. You will be a strong communicator and leader, able to inspire teams, influence stakeholders, and drive measurable business results. A proactive mindset, curiosity, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced agency environment are essential.
Reporting to the US Managing Partner, this role will take ownership of a portfolio of multi-channel, high-revenue accounts, ensuring client satisfaction, revenue growth, operational excellence, and strategic delivery across all services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of multi-channel client accounts, ensuring retention, growth, and long-term partnership success
- Manage and mentor a team of Account Managers and Account Executives, setting clear expectations for quality, performance, and client service standards
- Provide senior strategic direction across campaigns to ensure client objectives and KPIs are met or exceeded
- Oversee campaign planning from brief through execution, ensuring consistency across digital, media, and integrated marketing disciplines
- Act as the senior client contact for contractual discussions, scope of work, renewals, and commercial negotiations
- Own revenue forecasting, financial tracking, and account profitability across your client portfolio
- Ensure resources are allocated effectively across teams, working with discipline leads to manage workload and priorities
- Identify opportunities to expand services, introduce new capabilities, and grow client investment across the agency
- Support new business development, including pitch strategy, proposal creation, and presentations
- Drive collaboration across internal departments to ensure integrated delivery across all marketing channels
- Represent the agency at industry events, networking opportunities, and client meetings
- Contribute to the development of marketing materials, case studies, and thought leadership content
- Help standardize best practices across the Client Services function and support team development initiatives
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a confident, personable, and commercially aware leader who can build strong relationships, motivate teams, and manage client portfolios in a high-pressure environment.
- 6+ years of experience in marketing or media agency environments
- Proven track record of delivering growth through advertising campaigns
- Strong background in at least one of the following:
- Media Planning (digital and/or offline)
- Performance Marketing (SEO, PPC, Paid Media)
- Integrated or full-funnel marketing strategy
- Deep understanding of digital marketing and the broader marketing mix
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategy, identify opportunities, and drive measurable results
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, including forecasting, scoping, and contract negotiations
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to inform decisions
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple departments
- Highly organized with excellent time-management skills and attention to detail
Working at ROAST
