About us

ROAST is a multi-award-winning independent performance media agency, founded in 2015. We proudly work with brands like Rightmove, Experian, and LEON, with one clear goal: to deliver better return on advertising spend (ROAS) than anyone else.

How do we do it? By combining both media intelligence and data science, along with constant experimentation, we create solutions that will drive the biggest impact.

But none of this works without exceptional people – which is why we put talent first, always. Training, progression, and opportunities to learn are baked into how we work. We want our people to feel happy, supported, and inspired.

Exceptional company culture isn’t an add-on at ROAST – it’s the engine. It powers everything: creativity, collaboration, retention, results. We’re proud of the culture we’ve built, because it’s authentic and intentional. Rooted in shared values, not just surface perks.

ROAST have created a place where people belong, grow, and do their best work – together.

02

The role

We’re looking for a datadriven CRO Manager to lead our experimentation and optimisation efforts across client projects. You’ll be responsible for designing, executing, and analysing tests to improve user journeys, increase conversion rates, and drive measurable business growth.

This is a role for someone who can operate both strategically (setting the roadmap) and handson (running experiments, analysing results), working closely with UX, analytics, development and client teams.

03

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own CRO strategy for multiple clients, aligned with their business goals (e.g. revenue, leadgeneration, retention)

  • Build and maintain testing roadmaps & programmes (A/B, multivariate, etc.) to prioritise ideas and ensure continuous optimisation

  • Conduct both qualitative (user research, heuristic analysis, session replay) and quantitative (analytics, funnel, heatmaps) research to identify friction points and optimisation opportunities

  • Generate hypotheses and design test variants in collaboration with UX/design and development teams

  • Ensure proper tracking and analytics setup for experiments, including defining KPIs, ensuring data quality, and rigorous test governance

  • Execute tests: build, QA, launch, monitor performance, and analyse posttest results

  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations, optimisations, and iterations

  • Present findings to clients, demonstrating impact, learnings, and next steps

  • Collaborate with crossfunctional stakeholders: product, content, marketing, development, etc.

  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of CRO tools, trends, methodologies, and best practices

04

The candidate

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years working in CRO

  • Handson experience with A/B testing / multivariate testing tools (e.g. Optimizely, VWO, ABTasty, etc.)

  • Strong knowledge of web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics / GA4, Adobe Analytics, or similar)

  • Experience with qualitative tools (e.g. user testing, session replay, heatmaps) desirable

  • Good grasp of frontend basics (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to work with developers and QA experiments

  • Strong analytical mindset: comfortable handling data, interpreting results statistically, generating insights from large datasets

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills — able to explain complex insight in a way nontechnical stakeholders understand

  • Strong project management skills: managing multiple concurrent experiments, prioritising based on impact & effort
