This December we are partnering with Starlight. We are running paid media for the charitable organization, though only charging for our time because we believe in their mission: Starlight provides children in healthcare with play. To further support Starlight, we are participating in their ‘sponsor a star’ initiative on behalf of our clients. TIPi Group, including ROAST and Kitty, will be donating to ‘sponsor a star’ for each of our clients, this donation will make a child’s stay in hospital brighter through play.
Who are Starlight?
Starlight are the national charity that advocates children’s play in healthcare, supporting children to experience the power of play to boost their wellbeing and resilience during illness. Starlight advocate for play professionals, support families, and empower children to experience the power of play.
Across the UK over 100,000 children spend their festive period in hospital. Starlight supports children in hospitals across the UK through the power of play in order to boost their wellbeing and resilience during treatment, care and recovery from illness. Children in hospital can experience fear, trauma and loss. Play reduces these feelings and creates positive memories.
How do we support them?
Having worked with the charity as a digital agency, we have recently taken steps to become more involved in the charity’s mission. On behalf of our clients this Christmas, we have taken part in their initiative to sponsor a star on Oxford Street, in doing so, we make a donation to make a child’s stay in hospital brighter through play.
