Friday ROASTing – Phil Jones
Phil Jones, PPC Account Executive
Best sporting achievement in your life time?
So, as most of my colleagues know, that would be my dodgeballing. Last year, I managed to get into Irelands national team which meant I played in an international tournament! I’m pretty hopeful that over the next year I’ll get to take part in more of these, especially the World Championships in New York. I love dodgeball, but I also love being a tourist – I want to go to the top of the Empire State Building!
What do you most enjoy about working at ROAST?
Definitely the culture. It is good because there is a great balance between getting good results and allowing people to enjoy themselves. We’re also always told that there is no one right way, I feel encouraged that I have the opportunity to innovate so early on in my career.
What was your favourite TV show growing up?
Friends. I watched it every night as a kid when I got home from school. Every joke I make most likely has a Friends reference.
What are the top three things sitting on your bucket list?
I do as it happens have a pretty long bucket list… but my top three would have to be Sky Diving, Scuba Diving and going to Iceland. Sky Diving because I have always been an adrenaline junky. Scuba Diving because I’m a water baby and desperate to see the Great Barrier Reef. And Iceland, not just to be cliché and see the northern lights, but I’d like to go in both winter and summer, so I could see the contrasts between the waterfalls.
What aspect do you like the most about working in PPC?
For me, I just find it so fascinating how quickly PPC moves and changes. I only joined the industry six months ago and already there are so many new features available on platforms, efficient ways to do things and tech developments to explore.
