Spilling the Tea with our MVP: Nikita Kuporosov

Kate Sweet • 12/06/2023

Each month, our employees nominate a fellow colleague who they believe has gone above and beyond, demonstrating true TIPi Group spirit. Employees’ votes are benchmarked against one or more of our company values – collaboration, restless minds, integrity, and purpose. It’s all to play for each month for the desired title.

To celebrate their achievement, we sit down with each MVP and ask them to ‘Spill the Tea’ to really delve deep into what makes them tick, what they love about their job, and the aspects of our company culture that they just can’t get enough of.

Without further ado, lets turn the spotlight onto Nikita Kuporosov, SEO Account Executive and this month’s MVP:

1. If you were stranded on a desert island, what one item would you bring and why?

I’d bring a VR headset with a library of all films ever made. Basically, a portable cinema I could wear on my head. I have a feeling Apple’s recently announced Vision Pro would have a perfect screen for this. Just load that with all the films and make it solar powered.

2. What is the best bit of advice you have ever been given?

I haven’t actually been given this advice. But one thing comes to mind, I’ve seen an interview where Matt Damon was discussing how him and Ben Affleck used to write scripts for movies. In that interview he recalled one thing Ben Affleck said to him: “Judge me for how good my good ideas are, not how bad my bad ideas are.”

3. Where is your favourite place in the world to visit?

BFI IMAX. It’s the largest cinema screen in all the UK, located near Waterloo station and measuring 25.9m (85 feet) wide by 19.8m (65 feet) high. I love watching all the new blockbusters and whatever else they occasionally screen there. It’s my home away from home.

4. What did you think you would do as career growing up?

I was big into cinema even as a kid. I was inspired by some films growing up and wanted to create something that would have a similar effect on somebody. So I thought I would become a film director. I thought all that that would involves is pointing a camera at things and that’s it – I was wrong, really wrong…maybe one day though.

5. What is the best part of your working day?

As some might have noticed, I have headphones on for most of the day. Listening to different music and sometimes trying something new is my favourite thing to do during the working day. That’s how I discovered K-pop and listen to some K-pop groups now.

Thank you Nikita for everything you do for TIPi Group – see below just some of the incredible comments made by some of Nikita’s fellow employees when voting:

I’m nominating Nikita for being such a proactive and collaborative teammate, alongside this he represents our company values.

  • Purpose – stepping up on all his accounts and presenting his work
  • Integrity – building client relations and volunteering at the Soup Kitchen

  • Restless minds – his determined research for client work

I would like to nominate Nikita for MVP because…

  • He has taken on a huge lead on client projects
  • He has improved massively in his presentation and communications with clients
  • His perseverance in the face of challenges, managing to high quality work delivered to meet client deadlines
